The Third Annual Animal Investigation & Prosecution Seminar Series will be held in Tallahasse, Florida on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. SPACE IS VERY LIMITED, SO THIS IS A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE REGISTRATION.
Topics will include information on analyzing and working animal crime scenes, veterinary forensics, trauma analysis, case studies, search and seizure laws, media relations, and resources available in Florida. Attendees will learn to improve their skills on how to recognize, document and process crime scenes involving animals, learn what the prosecutors need to build their cases, and obtain tools for effective testimony in court.
Speakers include Dr. Melinda Merck, D.V.M., Veterinary Forensics Consulting; LLC, Sherry Ramsey, Director of Cruelty Prosecutions for the H.S.U.S.; Geoffrey C. Fleck, Attorney, Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF); and Dr. Jason Byrd and Amanda Fitch, Certified Crime Scene Analyst, Maples Center for Forensic Medicine - UF.
Who should attend? Law Enforcement Officers, Prosecutors, Animal Control Officers, Veterinarians, and Animal Shelter Management
